It is always a pleasure for us at
Body Support Systems, Inc. to recommend
First Class Massage Therapy Schools such as The Humanities Center.
It is an honor when a top accredited school decides to use our
systems as an integral part of their teaching
program.

Massage Room 2 at The Humanities
Center
Here is what the people at The Humanities
Center had to say about the
bodyCushion:
There is a bodyCushion
Support System on each table in our facility, and both
students and clients in the Student Clinic really appreciate this
positioning system. Since our students learn to perform massage on
the System, they adapt easily to its unique features, and most will
purchase a System shortly after getting their table. Having been the
first school to use these wonderful Systems throughout our facility,
we are very proud to have instructed hundreds of therapists on a
professional system - not pillows, not bolsters, but a professional
system. Clients have even purchased these Systems to use in their
homes, because for some it is the only way they can rest/sleep
comfortably. Its versatility for various approaches to massage work
is fantastic; it packs well, is light, and is easy to manipulate for
various sizes of clients. We are truly impressed with this product!

Soma Institute of Neuromuscular
Integration
What is
SOMA
SOMA Neuromuscular
Integration, or SOMA Bodywork, is a type of body therapy that
changes people physically and psychologically. It does this by
structurally balancing the body and by working with the nervous
system to allow more freedom, spontaneity and creativity in our
response to the world. As a result one is able to work, play and
rest with a natural ease often absent in the stressful lifestyles of
today. The technique consists of ten basic sessions that, through
the use of deep tissue manipulation, movement training and learning
tools, progressively realign the entire body and recondition the
nervous system.
SOMA
Training The SOMA Institue provides for
professional licensing and the certification program in SOMA
Neuromuscular Integration and Somassage. Trainings are held in
Washington State and Germany. The SOMA Institute is licensed by the
Washington Workforce Training and Education Board and the Washington
State Board of Massage.
Students at the Soma Institute
unpacking new shipment of bodyCushions
Here is what the
Co-director of the institute has to say about the
bodyCushion:
Soma Institute of Neuromuscular Integration
has included a bodyCushion as part of the tuition package since
1993. We feel our students deserve the best tools available in
beginning their structural bodywork practice.
When the client on the table is supported and
at ease, there is a increased receptivity to structural
change. We find the bodyCushion particularly effective for our
sideline work, which allows the client to approach the fetal
position, supporting the structure in a safe and secure
way.
It makes sense to use the bodyCushion instead
of a bunch of pillows. We value knowing every Soma
Practitioner in the field is working a little easier with better
results.
