Since 1985, New York Magazine has published an annual "Best of New York" issue. The "Best of New York" list highlights a variety of New York City businesses that are doing things right. So right, in fact, that they've earned the title "best" in a city that has a larger population than 39 of the 50 states in the U.S. In other words, it's quite an honor to be included in the Best of New York issue.

The 2015 Best of New York focuses "on what’s new or what has somehow remained virtually unheard of" according to New York Magazine's website. This year's list awarded Leigh Withers of Motherly Love the "Best Prenatal Massage" title. Withers founded her business Motherly Love in the mid-1990's with a mission "to provide the highest quality massage experience for pregnancy." Being included in this year's best-of-list is confirmation that Wither's business is successfully achieving the mission and getting much deserved recognition. Considering that there is a birth in NYC every 4.4 minutes, there are plenty of pregnant women in NYC in need of some TLC during their pregnancy, and Motherly Love's services are specially tailored to accommodate their specific needs. Motherly Love "combines therapeutic massage and acupuncture with the luxury of the housecall to relax and renew NYC's thriving parental community."

Withers attended the U.S.A.'s oldest massage school, The Swedish Institute, earned her Master's Degree in Acupuncture, and "has advanced the art of pregnancy and postpartum wellness support through combating pregnancy fears/misconceptions and empowering clients to realize their ideal passage into parenthood."

The bodyCushion™ is an important tool deployed by Motherly Love. In regards to the bodyCushion™, Withers says:

For the past 15 years, the bodyCushion™ system has been an instrumental part of my NYC acupuncture and massage practice, Motherly Love, which specializes in pregnancy/postpartum housecalls in Manhattan and Brooklyn.

I have found 90% of my clients prefer the 'face-down' option that the bodyCushion™ provides. I also find the 'newer' breast protector cushion essential for nursing moms during the postpartum period.

Some pregnant clients of mine have become so inspired that they have purchased their own cushion system for personal/home use.

I am a huge fan of the system and believe the bodyCushion™ is the wave of the future in this industry.
